Eve recently watched the interview of Tracey D. Brown, CEO of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), on the Sisters 4 Fitness Show. Brown, who considers herself “the poster child of how to thrive while living with diabetes,” credits the reduction of carbohydrates in her diet as a critical factor in improving her health.

Brown shared the fact she has dealt with Type 2 diabetes for nearly two decades. However, she credits carb reduction with allowing her to stop taking not only insulin but nearly all of her medication. In fact, she expects to be off her last medicines by the end of the year.

As a former marketing executive in Dallas whom Eve admired and respected, she was excited to see how Brown is using her own story to move forward the mission of the ADA.

Not everyone was in agreement with Brown’s comments. This led to a video response from her earlier this month.

Watch the video to hear Eve’s insights.
