The list of potential benefits of intermittent fasting go beyond a celebrity fad

No, your favorite celebrity did not invent or discover intermittent fasting (IF). Although Halle Berry at 53 years-old and a self-avowed IFer certainly look marvelous, this eating lifestyle goes back to forever ago. Yes, celebrities have helped to popularize the IF eating lifestyle during the last couple of years. But keep in mind famous stars are not the only ones paying attention to IF, so is the medical community.  

Published reports indicate IF can help you manage stress, help with Type 2 diabetes, and it might reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and maybe even some cancers. 

“My view is that we should be fat-adapted,” Michelle Harvey is a nutritional therapist, and recipe developer in Dubai recently shared. “This means that if you wake up, skip breakfast, and don’t eat until 3 pm, your body should be able to make the switch to fat-burning without you getting hangry and shaky. We should be able to go for long periods of time without food.”
