A Personal Journey to Health

We are thrilled to feature Eranda Wickramasinghe's story on the blog today!

Eranda has an inspiring story about his journey to weight loss and good health. In his in-depth article, linked below, he chronicles his lifelong struggles with health and weight loss, and details his journey from August 2019 through present day, showing the incredible progress he’s made through intermittent fasting and a low carb diet of real food. The results he has achieved and the information he has gleaned through his process are impressive.

I was just happy that I had found the keys to a healthy and sustainable life while I still had plenty of living left to do.

After being diagnosed as obese and pre-diabetic in August of 2019, Eranda knew something had to change. He’d already tried the standard calories in, calories out approach to dieting with little success. He knew there had to be a better way. That’s when he stumbled upon The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung. The information in that book had a huge impact on the way he viewed his ability to control his own health and it paved the way for his success. In less than a year’s time, Eranda was able to reverse his alarming diagnoses of obesity and pre-diabetes.

In his article, he writes of his surprising and swift success, "It blew my mind. As Eve Mayer says in Life in the Fasting Lane ‘where had this information been all my life?’ Bitterness, anger and resentment are lazy. I was just happy that I had found the keys to a healthy and sustainable life while I still had plenty of living left to do."

When Life in the Fasting Lane came out, Eranda hurried to get his own copy and, even after all he had already learned and implemented in his life, he was impressed. He says he now refers to it almost as a “user manual” and recommends it as “the one stop shop. . . to anyone who wants to find a sustainable way to live their life and have peace of mind, knowing that they are doing the best that they can, for themselves and their loved ones, in terms of maintaining good health and staving off preventable chronic disease.” That’s high praise and we’ll take it!

For almost a year now, Eranda has maintained this new way of living and eating. Through his continued success and research, he has learned so much and is passionate about sharing this information with others who are seeking to improve their health. Take a look at his article to learn more about Eranda’s very personal journey and check out his impressive lists of resources. It’s a true labor of love, and we guarantee you will walk away feeling motivated!
